SAMPLES

The prices have been calculated on the basis of the cost of obtaining the whole sample. The final price is the proportional cost of the amount of sample provided.

Samples are provided in the following quantities:

• DNA: 2,5 µg per sample
• DNA from saliva: 2,5 µg per sample
• RNA:1/3 of total RNA elution volume
• Plasma: 500 µl per sample
• Serum: 500 µl per sample
• Paraffin Tissue: 3 slices.
• Frozen Tissue: one small piece or slices.

If more sample is required, the need for this amount must be justified in the sample request.

 

PRICING SYSTEM

Three different price structures have been established:

• Price 1: applicable to for-profit organitations.
• Price 2: applicable to non-profit organitations.
• Price 3: applicable to projects managed by BIOEF or Biocruces or Biodonostia or Bioaraba.

These prices in no way represent a commercial price for the sample - they simply relate to the costs incurred by the Biobank when obtaining, processing and storing them.
